Chosen Exhibition site

This Project is Inspired by my recent essay question; how has art interrogated the relationship between the individual and nature ?  I have chosen to address this issue in the form of a land art exhibition set in a henge.
I have decided not to choose stone henge to avoid clichés, as the image of stone henge is so often reproduced and used. Instead i have chosen Swinside Cumberland.  Set in a landscape reminiscent of romanticist painting, i have chosen this ancient pagan site as the setting for performance and sound pieces.Thee should explore or allude to ritual and our relationship with the planet.
I have deliberately not chosen a conventional gallery space as this encourages material art pieces and therefore consumerism, something that fuels our negative relationship with nature. This exhibition would be entirely about experience and feeling, linked to the ideas of Richard Long and Smithson.
